The roots of the current-day Paul Jores GmbH go back to the 14th century. The great-grandfathers of Paul Jores used to grind all types of cutting tools. Initially they were wandering cutlers and tooth pullers until Peter Jores, the grandfather of Paul Jores, was the first to settle down in Sobernheim.
24-year-old Paul Jores took over the tradition from his father and over time built a modern precision grindery. Between 1970 and 1975 the once purely manual grindery was restructured into an industrial company.
With the help of surface grinding the most diverse range of components, which already have a very precise contour from their manufacture, can be machined to the required dimensions and tolerances, including their height. This applies principally both to all stamped and precision-cut parts and also to sintered and injection-moulding parts.
Often surface grinding ??only?? serves to achieve a sufficiently precise surface so that further processes can be performed on the component at all or to enable fully-automated assembly. Unfortunately surface grinding always results in more or less very pronounced burr formation. This burr often has to be removed in a subsequent deburring process.
With regards to the materials to be processed there are generally no limitations. As well as the classic materials steel and non-ferrous metals, increasingly more plastic, rubber, glass and ceramics are ground.
Our company management will be happy to welcome you on stand 6 F 38, to present you the complete know how of JORES GmbH. We will also present you our commercial partnership with the french company MECA-RECTIF which is also exposing with us on stand F 38.
